Many use TARGIT to dig through sales and highlight segmentation of accounts, points of distribution and new or lost customers. But sales analysis is not ONLY about sales volume. Costs – from cost of goods sold through trade promotions to allocated SG&A – are available. This session will have a panel of clients who will answer questions about how hard, or not hard, some of this is for them.

Financial reporting with TARGIT
Michele May and John Mark Bojanski

Income statements and balance sheets are the basics of financial reporting and often to some – the end all be all. From ad hoc reporting (often the area where you’d see Jet Reports) to consolidations, budgeting to even some of those statements, this session will include a panel of clients discussing how they use TARGIT in various ways in finance.

Highlighting Target Retail Accounts

Recently a prospect said, “If I can’t see year over year, it’s worthless to me.” We can appreciate the value of year over year, but that got us thinking, “what about clients you don’t have yet?” How would you see last year? Or plan? Do you even plan at a customer level? We will discuss things like white space, specific target lists like Wine Spectator or accounts highlighted by management to be objectives in 2017. This session will explore options we’ve seen in making this visible in TARGIT or even outside of TARGIT.

Making TARGIT Easy – Means to User Adoption

TARGIT can be a very powerful tool. That can be great for analysts, but we can’t forget the data consumers. How do we make it simple and deep while not handcuffing the analyst? How do we provide the various means of data requested? This session with customers and Jack Irby, Business Impact consultants, will be focused on keys for user adoption to make TARGIT friendly and useful.

Neat Ideas in BI – Aged Inventory, Job Costing, and MRP.
Doug Hoogervorst and Jamie Brown, PAI
+

Sometimes there are just cool things we’ve seen at various customer sites. In this session, we will highlight a variety of things we’ve seen, both in TARGIT and outside. Three possibilities include: MRP / capacity planning to help purchasing understand trends over time and when/what/how much to buy; job costing when jobs run over longer periods of time and the challenges that ensue; inventory aging with perishable products and products in various states of completeness.

4-4:45
Infographics
John Mark Bojanski and Tom Totten, TARGIT

This is the great white whale!! How to get users out of table after table of endless detail and into informational graphics. TARGIT for years has had gauges and, even today they still call them gauges, but now we – the end users – have the ability to build our own graphics. This session will show how the graphics are built with ideas on when, where and why.
